Photoshop – BlacknWhite
On Wednesday, in my photography class, we were taking color photos and turning them into black and white pictures in photoshop.
There has not been any given assignments because this term is almost finished. Our final day of this term is the 30th of May, they picked the 30th because my Education Center offers Saturday classes.

Afro Samurai “My Aim is only Dew Forward”
I got this figure on eBay. I watched and I enjoy this anime/manga/video game character a lot. I think i purchased the figure that came with the video package called “Afro Samurai: Resurrection” that the ebay seller was selling on ebay.

Photography word theme “circles”
This week theme was a word, just as last week, wrinkles was the word, but this week it was Circles. I was thinking about doing something different than just regular circles or taking pictures of balls and wheels.
I took a silver slinky as my object. White piece of posterboard, and my camera is a nikon d40.
May 6, 2009 – Photography Wrinkles Project Assignment
For this week assignment was Wrinkles, I got this assignment last week in class. I went around the whole week just thinking and brainstorming on how to shot this weeks assignment idea.
So after a few days of thinking about wrinkles, I just thought of taking a piece of paper and just roll it up and unroll it, and re roll it over again, and again. After doing this you find that paper will get wrinkles and the feel of the paper would feel used and worn.
So I just found a bottle water, and just wrap some of it around the tip of the bottle to hold it up in place. I took some pictures, and i hope that the wrinkles will get back for this assignment.

2009 May 04 – Photoshop Final Projects
Today is the due date for my Photoshop Final projects. I submitted two images but I also given the process images, showing the starting point to the finished images that I wanted to achieve. I have uploaded them to here, so I can share with you, and please give me comments, and thoughts, Id like to see what you all have to say about my work.
First Image is a drawing of me and a lulu girl dressed up as a jedi. I got this drawing at Comic Con a few years back. The artists name is Tim Wollweber, and I just simply scanned the image in to my computer, and used photoshop to outline the dark and important lines. Than, I went and colored in all the areas I wanted to show colors. I took the image to place it on a background image that is Star Wars related. I was applying layers and adding lightsaber effects.
Second Image is a Transformer Toy, his name is Optimus Prime the leader of the mighty Autobots from Cybertron. A year back, I took several exposed shots of this action figure, and made the image into a HDR resolution. HDR (High Dyanmic Range). For what I have applied are a few different things that I learned during class, which are; Filter in the Lens Blur, Masking, and Applying Text with gradient colors.
May 3, 2009 – LiveScribe Pulse SmartPen
On Friday of last week, I got a cool electronic device that is very useful and I thought I would get one. I got a SmartPen made by LiveScribe. It takes a pictures as you write on the dot matrix paper they have develop, and that you can record audio joining the words your write. It is a great tool for students, i believe if every child in school should have one. This would help them with note taking because you can transfer notes to your computer. All the words that you wrote on the dot matrix paper are stored and you can share them with your classmates. As for the recorder, If you missed what the teacher said later that day, you can tap anywhere on the dot matrix page where you wrote your notes, and it would give you the accompanied audio. It comes with these earphones also that have built in microphones, so you can pick up the teacher. Also, this would be a great tool for business people as well, because there are spots in the meeting you can’t always write down everything that your boss is saying.
Technology has come so far, but I think there are other things that might make this more of a useful tool. I mean I like it, and I will be using it for writing it as a journal. I wish it had some more accessories.
