April 24, 2009 My Lightsaber

I am a huge Star Wars fan. I might no know everything about Star Wars. I have collectin lightsabers. Each character in the star wars universe have different hilts. not all the lightsabers look the same because each jedi /or sith create and build their own unique hilt. It is a training that every jedi /or sith must do to become a powerful jedi master or sith. A lightsaber is an elgent weapon and not as clumbsy as a blaster.

I have been feeling ill for some time now. I haven’t gone to any of my classes last week since I am not feeling up to anything. Anyway, This post is for April 15th.

For my class assignment for my photography I was to think of way to take a portrait of someone but without the person in the image. Since the week of 6-10 was my spring break, I was trying to think of a way to do this.

This picture is of me, I like Transformers, Star Wars, Photography, Video Games, and Disneyland. So this is what I thought of.

Items: Mighty Muggs Optimus Prime, Concept Force User Stormtrooper, Sony Cybershot T70, Blackberry Curve 8320, Sony Playstation Portable, Ultrasabers Lightsaber, 2 Litecube, and a Disney Annaul Passport.

2009 April 11 Disneyland Trip

I went to Disneyland’s California Adventure on the 11th of April this year, 2009. I went with my star wars group that i am part of of. I took my d40 with me, and took a lot of pictures and Ive been going through my pictures to pick out the good ones, Ive also taken some pictures from one of my friends myspace picture section.

2009 March 30 Miho Photoshop

In my photoshop class we have been learning about the Text tool. Ive done this image to reference to what I learned in my photoshop class. I used the Text tool, and the masking tool for the text to look like its on a cover of a magazine. Ain’t it great? I hope you will comment on this.

In my Photography class, the assignment was Window Light Sihouette, Shadow, and food photos. I just decided to do window light shadow.

03/24/2009 “Miho” from Sin City

I enjoy the Sin City movie and comics, I was waiting to watch the Sin City movie, but I was waiting for it to be on DVD. I like Miho, so i was shopping around for her action figure, and behold I found them at a comic collectors showcase in City Of Industry named “Frank & Son”. The guy was selling the girls of Sin City in a set for 85.00. I decided not to buy them all because the one I really wanted was Miho. Went home, and I searched on eBay for Sin City Miho. There are is a complete set of the characters were all black and white. I got the action figure on ebay, so i decided to take pictures of Miho. Check it out.

These are 9 Kaiyodo action figures of Robotech and Patlabor japanese anime shows. Ive decided to take a few pictures of them so I can show my friends. I actually have 10 of them but I forgot to clean it and photograph it.

03/10/2009 Macro Photography

I really get a kick out of Macro Photography (aka Table Top) I have been doing these types of shots during my eBay business. I have been take close up pictures of what I was selling to give the customers/or buyers the best image so I can sell my products.

I got this cool action figure at a collectors showcase in the City of Industry of California, but the action figure is a Transformer named “Hot Rodimus” made my a japanese company called Kaiyodo.

03/04/2009 Photography Composition

There are lots of compositions tips when taking a photo of something. So many of just take the pictures which are just snapshots, and never really think of what artistic ways can improve a snapshot to a glamor or an awesome picture.

Here are some tips to keep in mind;

1. closer – tilt camera – show part
2. rules of thrids
3. crop – shap
4. foreground – middle – background
5. frame with in a frame
6. leading lines
7. leading S curves
8. neg space
9. point of view
